"I’m a keen cyclist & love the rail trail & the Esplanade cycle/walking path, using both to cycle to Shelly Beach for a swim. This story wall is a great opportunity to celebrate cycling, the rail trail & Hervey Bay & really right in magpie dive bombing season was an opportunity not to miss.
My favourite painting is Blue Poles – it inspired me immensely when I first saw it in Sydney in 1973 & every visit to Canberra involves another chance to admire it in the National Gallery.
As a result I strive to always do paintings that are colourful & entertaining & open to interpretations that reflect the local art & about community & sharing it. If the viewer gets a laugh out of my work that is a big win for me.
