Kindness Garden: Practical support for those in need

While we are not a specialist homelessness support or emergency relief centre, we offer a number of services for people sleeping rough in our community.

Who we can help

Anyone who is sleeping rough in the community is welcome to make use of the Kindness Garden for one or two nights.

The Kindness Garden has been designed to ensure those who sleep near the Community Centre are as safe as possible.

The garden area is not monitored or staffed, but we have installed additional security cameras and lighting in the area.

We have also included large benches for sleeping to ensure people are as comfortable as possible.

How we can help

The Kindness Garden is designed for people to sleep for one or two nights. It is our goal to connect people sleeping in the garden with relevant support services. It is not a space to set up tents or for long-term sleeping.

The Bless Box

The Kindness Garden is home to The Bless Box - a help yourself shelf where those in need can access non-perishable food and toiletry items. Members of the community are welcome to donate goods directly to the shelves, to support those doing it tough.
