Services Primary Collaborative Mural 1, Hervey Bay Special School: We Belong Together The simple gesture of offering a hand can make a child feel safe, supported, cared for, seen, heard, understood and loved. It provides them with a sense of safety, security, comfort, and support, especially in unfamiliar or challenging situations. This gesture can be a form of reassurance, and affection. It can be a simple yet profound way to show love, care, and support for someone, conveying a message that they are not alone. Being physically connected with another person by holding their hand, helps a person to feel included and feel like they belong. We belong together, and together we can achieve amazing things. This collaborative artwork was created by a large group of students who explored different ways paint can be applied. They experimented with a variety of tools, including brushes, scrapers, stencils, and even their own hands. More Art Story Wall stories
