What a year 2024 has been! As we close the doors to this eventful year, the team at (HBNC) would like to take a moment to reflect on the achievements, challenges, and incredible community support that have shaped the year.

This year, our focus has been on connecting communities. From our diverse range of programs to the services we offer, our aim has been to address the local needs of our region while linking our community members with the many services available both within HBNC and through our broader network of community partners. Whether it was through social connection, emergency relief, transport, or youth programs, 2024 has been a year of bringing people together, providing much-needed assistance, and fostering a sense of belonging.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our staff and volunteers. Your unwavering dedication and hard work have allowed us to continue delivering essential services to those who need them most. We could not have done it without you. Your compassion, generosity of time, and tireless efforts make a real difference in the lives of many individuals and families within our community. Thank you for everything you do.

To all our clients and community members who have used our services this year, we want to express our sincere appreciation. We are honoured to support you and be a part of your journey. We value each and every one of you, and your trust in us is something we hold dear.

As we approach our closing period over the holiday season, we would like to remind everyone that emergency relief services will still be available through local organisations in Hervey Bay. While HBNC will be closed, please know that there are other community resources and support services to assist those in need. We encourage everyone to reach out to those organisations if you find yourself requiring assistance during this time.

As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited for what the new year will bring. Our commitment to connecting and supporting our community remains stronger than ever, and we can’t wait to continue this work with all of you.
