About us News New Mural at The Neighbourhood Hive Celebrates Unity and Creativity A vibrant new mural, conceptualised and created by participants in HBNC’s Industry Ready Training (IRT) program, now brightens the walls of The Neighbourhood Hive. The collaborative artwork, featuring a dynamic outer space scene and the word Unity, symbolises community togetherness and the shared vision of creating something greater. The mural’s creation was an integral part of the IRT program, which supports community members aged 18 and over in improving their employability and life skills. Apply for IRT today Throughout the 10-week program, participants contributed their ideas and creativity, with the mural serving as a testament to the teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills they developed. HBNC CEO, Tanya Stevenson, said the mural was more than just a piece of art. “It represents the collective effort and determination of our participants to build their futures while fostering a sense of community,” Tanya said. “The word Unity captures the essence of what we aim to achieve — bringing people together to make a lasting impact.” Each participant contributed their unique vision to the mural, making it a true representation of the unity and diverse talents fostered through the IRT program. The mural is now a permanent installation at The Neighbourhood Hive, standing as a vibrant reminder of what can be achieved when individuals come together to learn, grow, and create.
