Tell us a bit about yourself

Little about me: I love anything creative and often express myself through art and dance. I train in Muay Thai for discipline and the positive energy it brings to my life. I enjoy meeting people through volunteering because giving back to the community is something I truly value.

“What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make” – Jane Goodall

What is a quick summary of your professional background?

I started my career in medical facilities where I decided my life’s purpose was in service. I transitioned to community about 3 years ago and started working with a large youth service in Brisbane. This position taught me so many things about myself and how far we have to go in this space which ignited my fire for advocacy and change.

What drew you to work with HBNC?

I was drawn to HBNC because of its strong reputation for being a welcoming, supportive hub where everyone feels they belong.

How do you see your role making a difference in the lives of the community’s most vulnerable

The Local Learning Network concentrates on inclusion, participation and opportunity. We will be helping to identify and bridge gaps, spark new initiatives and make sure no one misses out on the chance to grow and connect.

What’s one thing you hope to see happen or change for our community?

I would like to see more skilled and confident community members taking on work opportunities, pushing boundaries of innovation and building strong meaningful connections with others.
