Hervey Bay residents are invited to take part in Harmony in Colour, a unique community art project launching during Harmony Week 2025 (March 17-23) and continuing for five weeks.

This initiative aims to celebrate the region’s cultural diversity through collaborative artworks created by the community.

Easels and canvases will be set up at The Neighbourhood Hive, providing a space for people of all ages and backgrounds to contribute their artistic expressions using any materials they choose.

The evolving artworks will serve as a reflection of the cultural fabric of Hervey Bay.

Participants are encouraged to take a photo or video of themselves contributing to the project and share it via email at [email protected] or through Facebook.

As a thank-you, anyone who submits their photos or videos will receive a free coffee voucher for The Wandering Teapot Cafe, adding an extra incentive to get involved.

This initiative is more than just an art project—it’s a chance to put Hervey Bay’s vibrant diversity and cultural expressions on display.

The final artworks will be displayed at The Neighbourhood Hive at the conclusion of the project, showcasing the creativity and unity of the Hervey Bay community, HBNC Operations Manager, Christian Berechree said.

“We are excited to see how the community comes together to create something truly special,” Christian said.

“This project is all about celebrating diversity, inclusion, and artistic expression while fostering connections among residents.”

Harmony in Colour is an open invitation to all community members—no artistic experience is necessary, just a willingness to participate and celebrate cultural harmony through creativity.
