Located just outside the Hervey Bay Community Centre at 22 Charles Street, Pialba, the Bless Box is a self-serve shelf providing essential non-perishable food and small toiletry items to those doing it tough in our community.

Whether you're experiencing homelessness, facing financial hardship, or simply in need of a helping hand, the Bless Box is open, accessible and free for anyone who needs it.

This initiative is proudly supported by generous community donations.

What can I donate?

We welcome donations of non-perishable, sealed, and in-date food items and small hygiene products, such as:

  • Canned meals (e.g. soups, stews, baked beans)
  • Long-life milk and juice
  • Muesli bars, noodles, instant oats
  • Toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, shampoo

More details are available via the Bless Box fact sheet.

We ask that items be placed directly onto the Bless Box shelves outside the centre.

This ensures the items are available straight away for those in need.

Where is it?

You'll find the Bless Box on the brick wall in the Kindness Garden outside the Hervey Bay Community Centre.

The Bless Box is accessible 24/7, because the need doesn’t stop when the doors close.

Be a part of the kindness.

Your small act of giving can make a big difference to someone’s day. If you’re able to help, please drop your items directly onto the Bless Box shelves.
