Helen Behrendorff: Forget Me Not Community Singers The rainbow colours in the background represent my feelings of being happy and joyful. The faces represent all the people that come to sing each Wednesday at the Uniting Church in Exeter St with the Forget Me Not Community Singers which is a dementia-friendly singing group. This group is my connection to Hervey Bay and coming to the choir makes me feel like I belong and am accepted as I am. It's a place of kindness and compassion and understanding. It really is something special.Carol 'Kaz', The Musical Director, is the silhouette in the middle of my painting. She leads the group and gratitude circle at the end of each session.Kaz plays the guitar when we sing and she makes it lots of fun! More Art Story Wall Stories
