A Festival for Everyone — Hervey Bay Gets Ready to Celebrate Multiculturalism Global Beats & Eats: A Free Festival for Everyone, Celebrating Community and Culture The Hervey Bay community is invited to experience the world in one place this August at Global Beats & Eats, a vibrant new multicultural festival hosted by the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre (HBNC). Taking place at City Park, Pialba, Global Beats & Eats is more than just an event. It’s a celebration of community connection, inclusion and cultural diversity. The free festival will feature live performances, family-friendly activities, food from around the world, and interactive art, all designed to showcase the rich cultural heritage that exists within the Fraser Coast region. HBNC CEO, Tanya Stevenson, said the event was all about bringing people together. “At a time when community connection is more important than ever, Global Beats & Eats creates a space where everyone, no matter your age, background, or ability, can come together, have fun, and celebrate what makes Hervey Bay so unique,” Tanya said. The event will also serve as HBNC’s Open Day, offering community members the chance to meet HBNC staff and explore the wide range of services offered in a relaxed, family-friendly setting. “Our team is excited to open our doors in such a dynamic and inclusive way,” Tanya said. “We want people to know what we do, and feel welcomed while doing it.” The festival will be fully accessible, with wheelchair access, a designated quiet space for those with sensory sensitivities, and activities for all ages.
