Learn and share skills to build a resourceful community

The Local Learning Network organises workshops, courses and other events to provide community members with a place to collaborate and socialise with like-minded people, while learning new skills, hobbies and experimenting with new ideas.

The Local Learning Network provides marketing and promotion, venue hire and participant bookings, and some of the costs for resources (as agreed with the instructor), along with support preparing course materials, class plans and any other support required to run the course or workshop.

For more information or to discuss any ideas you may have for the Local Learning Network, get in touch.

Please note: All volunteers must complete the one-hour Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre Volunteer Induction training and will be required to hold a current Blue Card. If you do not hold a Blue Card, please let us know and we will help arrange one for you at no cost.
