What's on Period Prepared Workshop Help your child feel confident, informed, and ready for their first period. The Period Prepared Workshop is a supportive, age-appropriate session designed for girls aged 8–12, with parents or caregivers attending alongside them. This four-hour workshop gently introduces young girls to puberty, the menstrual cycle, and their changing bodies before their first period begins. As a parent, you play a key role in shaping how your child experiences this stage of life. This workshop supports you to feel more confident having these conversations, while giving your child the knowledge and reassurance they need in a safe, positive and nurturing environment. Together, you’ll build a shared understanding that makes it easier to continue open, supportive conversations at home. What your child will learn: What to expect from puberty and body changes How the menstrual cycle works in a simple, age-appropriate way What a first period may feel like and how to prepare Understanding body signals and early awareness How to use different period products with hands-on guidance What you’ll gain as a parent: Confidence starting and continuing conversations about periods Clear, age-appropriate language to support your child Practical tools to help your child feel prepared and at ease A shared experience that strengthens trust and communication This workshop combines education, interactive discussion, and practical activities in a respectful, inclusive and supportive setting—helping reduce fear, confusion, or shame, and replacing it with confidence and understanding.
